About Us

Yithethe maAfrika Promotions Pty Ltd proudly presents Madiba Action, a multi-media promotion of the Eastern Cape province in South Africa.

In a way unlike any other in the province Madiba Action showcases our beautiful Eastern Cape, home of world icon, Nelson Mandela, also known as Madiba, the African clan to which he belongs; the clan after which Madiba Action takes its name. This website, supported by a glossy magazine and soon to be released vibrant DVD production, takes you on an exciting journey, show-casing the tourism opportunities in our province, its economic success stories, investment possibilities, and, introduces you to some of the people who have helped shape the Eastern Cape.

While the mighty elephants traditionally symbolize the province, let’s not forget the unique role of the flightless scarab. This industrious little beetle uses elephant dung to provide nutrients for spekboom, the elephants’ favourite food. In many ways, the relationship between the elephants and the scarab, typifies the Eastern Cape; where the largest and the smallest work in harmony, sustaining each other.

That is why we have chosen this busy little beetle as our icon.

Madiba Action’s aim is to follow a similar cycle – to offer a world-class and pictorial experience that invites you to join us in the Eastern Cape.

Madiba Action is published twice a year in May and November. By reading it we hope you will feel as proud of the Eastern Cape as we do. And, when you’ve finished reading it, pass it on to someone else.

Subsidised advertising rates are offered to SMME’s in the magazine and on the website. For this, email info@madibaaction.co.za

The magazine is distributed nationally and internationally.

In an attempt to maximise distribution and keep advertising rates low, Madiba Action relies on funding in the form of sponsorships from a variety of stake-holders.
